Since LJ was sold to a Russian company, there are periodically rumors that it is going to bite the dust. Should those rumors look imminent, one option is to migrate to a Wordpress blog. Wordpress has come out with a tool for doing so that looks promising.

This has been all over my reading list, but it's so cute and funny I'm reposting it for anyone who has somehow managed to miss it.  Besides, I want to save it :)

So I followed pentane's link to Pandora and played around a
bit. I tended to enter in the more obscure groups I could think of, and
bands I hadn't listened to in a while. The result is acoustic retro. But
at least Leslie Gore hasn't shown up yet, so it isn't TOO retro!

/eta The student this article was about has recanted. I have to say I'm very relieved, as this had been scarily plausible to me.

If this works it will be amazingly cool. In addition to being able to reduce the costs of vaccine production, whilst reducing the risk of contamination, it solves the problem of 'what do the tobacco farmers do?'
